Your House
Using the acapella vocals of Alannis Morisette's Your House (the hidden track on Jagged Little Pill). Music by Rob Ellis. |
Black Dog
Using the Robert Plant vocals (without music behind them) from Led Zeppelin's Black Dog and Rosie (How Many More Times). The music is all played and recorded by Rob Ellis, based upon the live version of Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin at Knebworth in August 1979. |
Don't Turn Away
Originally written for Sudden Onset - the original version wasn't kept, although it may turn up somewhere or other in the future. |
Paradox
The stand alone version of Paradox, which is part two of the track The Other Side Of The Egg. |
Pride and Joy
Rob's interpretation of Stevie Ray Vaughan's Pride and Joy. The Wedding Set was a number of songs re-recorded in demo format a few months after the live version at the wedding. |
Freedom II
An early version of Rob's instrumental that eventually was re-worked to become Chicago Lullaby on Under The Influence. |
Restless Spirits
A demo of one of Rob's songs with his brother, Jim, on vocals. This song was to be re-worked as an instrumental that appeared later on Under The Influence. Recorded 1992. |
You Can't Stay Forever
Another recording of one of Rob's songs, with brother Jim and sister-in-law Kathy on vocals. Recorded 1994. This song was re-worked as an instrumental 'Sometime Forever' on Under The Influence. A further acoustic version was re-worked as Forever Part 6 (Buddy's Song) on Sail To Me. Buddy was a wonderful man, and a drummer, and it was one improvised instrumental performance of You Can't Stay Forever alongside Buddy that led to the re-working of the song for the Sail To Me album following Buddy's death in 2004. Chicago Lullaby (from Under The Influence) was played at his funeral. |
